Lego Workshop!

Earlier this year I visited the Innovation Studio Workshop at Thinktank Birmingham.

After undertaking some warm up games we went on to simple coding followed by more complicated routes. We used Lego Mindstorms EV3 to code a route which would complete an assault course.

It is the first crossover between a children's toy and automated technology and has lots of potential to better help children understand modern technology and engineering to complete real life tasks.

This has inspired me to consider brick-based invention courses that deal with current issues of sustainability (lowering the use of plastics) and the melting of Antarctica due to climate change.
